Topping-Out Ceremony

On Tuesday, May 6, Schule am Hang in Bergen-Enkheim celebrated a major milestone in its renovation and expansion project. While not a traditional topping-out ceremony—with a completed structural frame and roof—the event marked the installation of the final prefabricated timber elements of the new building.

Work on the project began in late 2021 with demolition and interior gutting, requiring the school to temporarily relocate to a site on “Barbarossastraße”. Starting in summer 2026, the elementary school will move into its brand-new building at the “Am Bächelchen” location….
