Illwerke Center Montafon is the klimaaktiv “Property of the Month”

The administration building, Illwerke Zentrum Montafon, was honoured this month with the ‘Property of the Month’ status by kilmatactive.

IZM was planned according to the klimaaktiv Silver Standard and proves that future-oriented, climate-friendly construction pays off and creates great added value for people – in this case for the employees. The klimaaktiv building standard is a guide to guarantee energy-efficient, ecological and comfortable living and working, be it a new building or a high-quality renovation. The klimaaktiv building standard is a central component of the program klimaaktiv Bauen & Sanieren within the framework of the climate protection initiative of the BMLFUW, and is regarded throughout Austria as a mark of quality in sustainable buildings, with a special focus on climate protection and energy saving.

Klimaaktiv buildings are also planned and built in such a way that they remain largely independent of energy price developments. Buildings according to the klimaaktiv building standard already fulfil the requirements of the Directive 2010/31 / EU of the European Union, which will apply from 2021, according to which residential and non-residential buildings must be implemented as Nearly Zero Energy Buildings (NZEB).
