Virtual tour of the energie.campus Montafon

With the construction of the new energy.campus montafon in Vandans, illwerke vkw AG strengthens its position as an attractive employer and trainer.

The new training centre is also being built on the premises in Rodund, in close proximity to the illwerke vkw center montafon, also planned by Hermann Kaufmann + Partner.

»The estimated five million euros for the construction are literally an investment in the future. Our offer to all apprentices gives these young people a future-proof career perspective.«

Christof Germann, board member, illwerke vkw

From autumn 2021, more than 50 apprentices will be trained in metal technology, electrical engineering, mechatronics, cable car technology, IT and commercial professions in the new modern premises.

High quality apprenticeship training

Governor Markus Wallner described in his words of welcome the illwerke vkw as an attractive employer and especially emphasised the great commitment of the company in the field of apprenticeship training. The exemplary, multi-award-winning commitment could not be overestimated, said Wallner: “High-quality apprenticeship training is an essential guarantor for the training of highly-qualified specialists”. The Governor declared the million-euro investment in the site a clear commitment to the region: “For Montafon, the new training centre is an important motivation for the region.” In addition, the project would be a considerable stimulus to the economy, Wallner concluded by recalling the economic and employment-political importance of the project.

View to the future

In addition to Governor Wallner, state representative Bgm. Herbert Bitschnau was also able to get an impression of the new building during a virtual tour of the planned building. Numerous apprentices also took the opportunity to look into the future via tablets and smartphones and they are already looking forward to their new training centre opening.
