WOODBOX

WOODBOX

The international roadshow is en route to European cities.

How does timber construction move into the city? How do you convince citizens and politicians of the cities to use more timber in construction?

proHolz Austria has, together with Hermann Kaufmann, developed the Woodbox – a mobile wooden exhibition box that will be touring European capitals for several years, engaging with the urban audiences.

With its help they want to convince the citizens and politicians of the qualities of timber construction. The compact exhibition inside the box explains why wood makes an important contribution to climate protection and shows fifty examples of modern wooden buildings.

Where Woodbox makes it’s stops, there will also be architecture talks and a citywide dialogue created. National and international architects show the what, why and how they build with wood, and city representatives meet to discuss timber construction.
