On May 21, from 5:00 to 6:30 PM, Hermann Kaufmann will give a lecture for students in Kyoto, offering insights into the work of his firm, HK Architekten. The talk will focus on the use of wood as a building material and the role of regional architecture within an international context. In this context, Kaufmann will present a selection of projects by HK Architekten—including YKK Passive Town, located in Kurobe, Japan.
After the lecture, Verena Konrad and Andrea Gassner will introduce the new exhibition verywood, which opened on May 20 in Osaka. We’re especially excited that Hermann Kaufmann is also involved as a curator for the show.
