Propstei St. Gerold – Krypta

The provision of accessible access to the crypt of St Gerold’s Provost’s House makes the monastery’s 10th-century structure – unique in the state and the most authentic part of the building – accessible to everyone for the first time. As a newly designed sacred space, the lower church combines the historic structure with contemporary use and provides an impressive spatial expression of the central idea of togetherness that characterises the provostry. In this way, this special place of encounter and reflection can be experienced by all visitors.
